Zero Waste Hawaiʻi Island does zero waste education and outreach to promote and seek input on active projects and policy initiatives by tabling at events and giving presentations to community and student groups.

Coalition Building
Zero Waste Hawaiʻi Island fosters a network of organizations, businesses, government agencies, communities and individuals to coordinate collective action to achieve zero waste in Hawai’i. Their current work is focused on building a coalition to implement systems for reusable packaging within Hilo, with the goal to eventually scale these programs island wide.
